“That’s Newstastic!” The Chronicle of Sad Truths and Happy Denial http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/12/arts/television/12cbs.html?ex=1180065600&en=6a791880ecd2879d&ei=5070
Yes, plagiarism happens endlessly as ostensibly different news outlets recycle the same tired cliches and stories time and time again—often even parroting the same line in an identical manner) time and time again. And I feel so bad for the exploited Wall Street Journal that completely dead CBS is stealing from them outright.
But what's best about this story—and what remains completely assumed with no one expressing discomfort—is that idiot Couric can't even write her own feeble opinion on an issue like education for children. Good thing they brought it a ghost-writer to explain that Katie is "pro" on the issue. |
