I hate baseball, but you can't help but be spellbound by the supreme delusion and narcissism of this 'roid-raging a-hole. There's so much jaw-dropping nonsense in here it's staggering -- the whole gamut, from selling million dollar homes for stock in Mexican  telecoms to referencing sexual conquests as "road beef."

Beyond the crash-you-can't-look-away-from lead character, a large part of what makes this piece great is Pat Jordan is a terrific writer.
