Stanley Jason Zappa is surrounded on three sides by music, graphic
art and writing.  Fortunately the war is over, and Stanley knows who
lost.

This and a few other insights are largely the product of 'formal study' with Bill Dixon at Bennington College and later, 'informal study' with Rashid Bakr, John Blum, Daniel Carter, Lawrence Cook, Marco Eneidi, Matt Heyner, Mark Leonard, Sabir Mateen, Cooper Moore, Nick Skrowaczewski, John Voigt, Leo Pinar Whitlarge and Eric Zinman in various locations situations and combinations.
